Lake Pavna, Lonavala, Maharashtra, India – Jan 2014

Relaxing at Lake Pavna

We visited Lake Pavna as part of our Annual Holiday with my in laws.

Accommodation: Kino Lakeside Chalet (Its a private 4 Bedroom Chalet situated right at the Lake)
Note: You must book the complete Chalet if you want to enjoy your stay.

How to get there: 14 Kms away from Lonavala and 2.30 hrs drive from Mumbai.

  • Serene and Tranquil. You are completely away from all the hustle bustle of the city.
  • Clean and Pollution Free Air
  • Beautiful Landscapes (I instantly fell in love with the place).

Things to Do:

  • Enjoy the Sunrises and Sunsets. (The Sun Rising/Setting over the Mountains and Lake is a breathtaking sight).
  • Boating at the Pavna Lake (There is a boat club where you can rent boats/jet skies)
  • Sit on the Rocks doing nothing.

Rann Utsav, Dhordo, Gujarat, India – Dec 2013

Para Motoring at the Rann Utsav

Para Motoring at the Rann Utsav

The best time to visit the Greater Rann of Kutch is during the Annual Rann Utsav Festival. The place is full of tourists and since its in the middle of nowhere, visiting the rann during a different season would not be advisable.

  • Living in a Tent City.
  • Cultural Festivities (They had 2 different areas setup for festivities during the evening).
  • Adventure Sports like Para Motoring and ATVs
  • Sunrise, Sunset and Midnight visits to the Rann
  • Simple Village life
  • Local Handicrafts, Sarees and Apparels
  • Best time to go is Full Moon

Must Do: Vist the Rann at Night to experience it in Moonlight

Hong Kong #1 – Disney Land – Nov 2013

_20131105-Hong Kong-Hong Kong-085650_3C0A1687

The very first day after reaching Hong Kong we visited Disney Land. The Local Transport System in Hong Kong is second to none. We were able to take a Train right upto Disney Land and reached there in under 40 mins from our hotel.

  • All day entertainment and fun for all age groups. (If you think Disney Land is only for Kids. You are retarded !!)
  • Reach there early. The Park starts at 10am and if you are going to be visiting the complete park in 1 day, you are going to need every minute of it.
  • Everything was very well organized. They even had a dance show at the Gates to keep people entertained before the Park opened.
  • Excellent Baggage Services.
  • Entertaining Shows – The Golden Mickeys & The Lion King
